Registration is done right here, through the ABE Sports SignUp Play website. Please click the Registration Button at the top of the page to create an account, or access your previouse account, and follow the registration process for either In-House (including little kickers) or Travel Soccer. Please note, players will not be assigned to a team or permitted to practice with an ABE team until the player's online registration is complete and their payment is paid in full.
The ABE Soccer Board and our Coaches will use the email you provide during your online registration as one of our two primary forms of communication. The second is through the Sports Sign Up Play App that can be downloaded to your phone.
Through this website, and the app, you will be able to access your team's information once rostered - and - your schedule within one to two weeks before the season begins. Through the app, you will be able to communicate with your team and your team's coach and access practice schedules and locations.
Below, please find some general information about our In-House and Travel Soccer Programs.
Teams usually practice once or twice a week in the evenings. The coach of your team will reach out to players with practice dates and times. Teams play 8 games in the Spring Session and 8 games in the Fall Session. During the Spring Session, ABE throws a Community Soccer Festival with a Competitive Tournament for In-House Players called SoccerFest.
Times and Location
Games are played on Saturdays between 9 am and 12 noon at the ABE Fields Located at 108 Stange Rd, Freedom PA 15042 behind the Economy United Methodist Church and across from the Ambridge Area Middle School. There is one practice held mid-week scheduled by your team's volunteer coach, usually on the game fields, for U6-U10.
Since Parking is limited and street parking interferes with our residential neighbors, we ask that you park at the Ambridge Area Middle School at 410 1st Street, Freedom PA 15042.
Birth-Year Age Groups
Depending on how many players register in each division each session, some teams are divided by gender - while others are co-ed. In-House Divisions are:
Following the United States Soccer Federation rules, ABE adheres to the recent change in birth years for soccer. Age groups are now based on the calendar or birth year of players, or January 1 to December 31.
ABE offers competetive travel soccer for U10-U16. We play against other soccer clubs in the PAWest Soccer Association, the Youth Division of US Soccer. Games take place mostly on Sunday afternoons with a few exceptions. There are 8 games in our Spring Session and 8 games in our Fall Session. Times and locations of the games can be found on your team's roster on the ABE Sports SignUp Play site or App using your account Login.
Refunds will only be given to players that request refund three weeks prior to the first scheduled game of the season. $20 of the registration is non-refundable. There are no refunds for late registration.
ABE is implementing a volunteer requirement in order to help the organization grow for the future, have funds to update and maintain fields and equipment on a regular basis, and to help spread the workload of the organization. Starting in the Spring 2019, families registering to play in-house/recreational soccer with ABE are required to pay a fee of $20 per family, per season. This fee will be collected upon registration and reimbursed after one of the following volunteer opportunities is completed.
a. Register to coach with ABE, through SI Play.
b. Obtain and submit PA Criminal and PA Child Abuse to PA West. Note: FBI Fingerprinting is required if you have not lived in the state of PA for the last 10 consecutive years.
c. Run one, one hour practice weekly throughout the season.
d. Be present at soccer games.
2. Concession Stand
a. Work a total of 1 hour in the concession stand.
b. Hour may be completed all at once or on different days.
c. The 1 hour must be completed by the adult parent/or guardian.
**We love our pre-teen volunteers. However, to the volunteer requirement must be fulfilled by an adult parent or legal guardian.
d. A concession stand sign up will be sent electronically. Families can choose available dates and shifts from the electronic sign up. Please note, all shift sign ups are first come first serve.
3. Various Other Needs:
a. From time to time there will be various other needs that the league will have. These may include Soccer Fest help, Picture Day Needs, grounds/fields help.
b. These needs will be communicated via email and our Facebook page.
4. Unable to Volunteer
a. Families unable to volunteer will not be reimbursed the $20 collected during registration. This money will be considered a donation and used for the above expenses.
ABE will reimburse families week 4 and at the end of season. If your volunteer requirement has been met between weeks 1-4 you will be reimbursed week 4. Otherwise, you will be reimbursed at the end of the season.

PARENTS AND/OR GUARDIAN AND SPECTATORS ASSUME ALL RISK AND HAZARDS INCIDENTAL TO THE PLAYER’S PARTICIPATION, SPECTATOR'S BEHAVIOR ON ABE GROUNDS, AND ANY AND ALL RISK AND HAZARD ASSOCIATED WITH ABE SOCCER, ITS GROUNDS, EVENTS, GAMES, AND PRACTICES. I HEREBY RELEASE ABE, ITS BOARD OF DIRECTORS, AND ANY OF ITS AUTHORIZED PERSONNEL FROM ANY DAMAGES ARISING FROM INJURIES, BEHAVIOR OF SPECTATORS, EMERGENCY MEDICAL TREATMENT, OR INCIDENTS OF AN ACCIDENTAL NATURE. I ALSO UNDERSTAND THAT PHOTOS OF REGISTERED PLAYERS MAY BE TAKEN AND THAT MY REGISTRATION GRANTS MY PERMISSION FOR MY CHILD TO APPEAR ON THE ABE SOCCER WEBSITE, ABE SOCIAL MEDIA, AND ADVERTISING FOR THE SOCCER CLUB WITHOUT RESTRICTIONS OR COMPENSATION.

For players age 4-10 to develop their skills and learn about soccer in a recreational environment. All matches are played on Saturdays at the ABE Fields.
For players age 10-18 to develop their skills and learn about soccer in a competitive environment. Matches are played on Sundays at the ABE fields and PA West District 3 (West) fields. Match start times vary from 1-5pm and travel to fields vary up to about an hour.
