IN-HOUSE VOLUNTEER CLEARANCES
All board members, coaches, and volunteers need to obtain clearances prior to being involved with ABE Soccer. A copy of your clearances must be given to the ABE Board to be held securely with them. This is required due to the PA Child Protective Services Law in the State of Pennsylvania. In addition, no one shall be allowed to be on the sidelines during a game, sub for a coach, or lead a practice without these clearances.
Volunteers must provide the following by emailing a copy to the ABE President to file securely:

PA-WEST & SAFE SPORT
All Coaches and volunteers that participate in our Travel Soccer Program with PAWest are required to have not only the PA State Required Clearances, but are also required to be cleared through SafeSport, a child-safety sports training program. SafeSport's training modules discuss youth athlete training, issues of misconduct in sports, and helps insure children have a possitive and safe sport experience. This is mandated by PAWest, a Youth Division of US Soccer. SafeSport is free for ABE Volunteer Coaches and is highly encouraged for our In-House Coaches as well. If you are a volunteer coach, you can sign-up for SafeSport Here. An access code is required for the free training module and certificate you will receive. Please contact our Travel Director via email for the access code.
PLAYERS WILL NOT BE ASSIGNED TO A TEAM OR PERMITTED TO PRACTICE WITH AN ABE TEAM UNTIL THAT PLAYERS REGISTRATION IS PAID IN-FULL.
PAID IN-FULL IS DEFINED AS; CREDIT CARD, CASH, or CHECK – A check must be cleared though the bank of issue to complete the registration process. Checks retuned to A.B.E.’s financial institution, for any reason, will delay that player’s participation in A.B.E. activities.
